Once in the category musician, two times with jef neve trio (catergory album and jazz) and with FES also in the jazz category.

Hey,
1st of dec, I'll play some noise with Mauro at the opening of an exhibition in Dendermonde. Don't know the address but it's called "distortion" ... sounds like we'll have some fun.
About Othin Spake:
The record is finally getting ready. It's going to be a first part from a trilogy of live recordings.
The record is gonna be named "The Ankh" and is a part from the petrol live gig and one tune of archiduc sessions. These were musically fantastic gigs, that's why I chose them. Petrol is really a very intense gig with lots of darkness and stuff in the music.
We had a very rough time mixing since the sound quality of the recording was really bad!
Christine Verschorren tried to restore the original sound quality of our trio using all kinds of very old Vintage amplifiers and effects.
The problem of "gated" drums, compressed sound and broken amplifiers is solved until the point it was possible.
The music sounds great but happily for the next albums the basic recording is better.

Next moths are going to be completely crazy. I'm playing all the time wit FES (going to Japan, Italy, Berlin,...) and doing three cd releases. Jef Neve is releasing his album: "nobody is illegal" for Universal records , Alexi Tuomarila is releasing his new album for a spanish label and Othin Spake is releasing in oktober too.
I'm going to record with "4", Melanie de Biasio, FES (we're making a DVD soundtrack for " The Oyster Princess", a silent movie from Ernst Lubitsch), Rackham and starting the mixing of the Third record of Othin Spake.
I'm teaching drums in Antwerp and Gand music Highschool now. Who could ever think that? It's fun!
I can be very happy to announce that Pierre Vervloesem (Xlegged Sally, RAW, FES,...) mixed the archiduc concert and two studio gigs Othin Spake did.
In a few weeks the'll be available for download at the wack attack barrack downloadlabel.
He made also an altarnative mix of the Petrol gig which will be hopefully available to download for free.
I started a new little 4tet with great young musicians.

The recording with Alexi Tuomarila 4tet went great! Very Happy! We did some free improvs which sound pretty cool I think.
Whach out for the Jef Neve guy. There's something happening also! further news when everything is 100% sure.

Just had a great tour with the VVG trio featuring Malik and Jozef. It was a bit of searching first but in the middle of the tour it started to be a great band. Nice music and super players. Thanks guys!
In Orbit was cd of the week in Knack Magazine and we got really good credits for the music... check out www.brunovansina.com to read all this stuff!!
Just recorded the new Jef Neve trio. I think we did a good job. For the first everything was recorded in the same space without headphones. It was an experiment but made the music much more alive and gave it the dirtiness it should have. I think the musical evolution from "blue saga" to this one is really good. Hope you like it! Comes out in November. We're doing it's release in AB Brussels. Jef and Piet are still crazy and lovely to work with. It'll be superfun I'm sure.
Alexi Tuomarila 4tet is going to record end of this month. We're recording our third album. What a longtime ago we played!! I'm really looking forward to this. They're really nice players and good friends so it'll be lots of fun!!

Just saw the Ellery Eskelin 4tet in Buster, Antwerp with Andrea Parkins, Jim Black and a singer whose name I forgot. This 4tet was really kicking ass and playing great Improvised music. Check out their records on the HAT label.
little story: I heard Aphex Twin lives on an Island where he's driving in an army tank and shooting around for fun... crazy guy...but great music. does somebody know if this is true?

My trio Othin Spake will do it's cd release in AB,Vooruit and Luchtbal okt. nov. '06. The dates are not sure yet but you'll see them popping up soon...
I don't know on which label it's coming out. I contacted some interesting, innovating labels to check out the music. I want it to be in a musically interesting catalogue (a label without compromises) so all the John Zorns and Mike Pattons of this globe are welcome to contact me ;.)
If this doesn't happen I'll put it out on my own label RAT Records and do some license deals with others... we'll see
I keep everybody posted.

for all news about them dustbingrooves flying around please be patient. the latest news is that I'm mixing my record with Othin Spake (featuring Mauro Pawlowski and Jozef Dumoulin). It will be all free impro's of the Beurs, Petrol live gigs and some studiostuff (recorded in Joel Grignards little homestudio Depot 214, he makes a great sound) ... It will be released later this year on mine and Bruno Vansina's own little label RATrecords categorie "Weird stuff". We'll do a tour in fall. If somebody feels like giving me lots of money to make the album.... that would be great!!! ;.) our label RAT is looking for interesting partners (labels, distributors, sites,barones panonica,...) to work together. The ame is to put out interesting, innovating music... Please don't label ALL music as jazzmusic (little advise for critics!!) The tour with Nozzle Slag was great. I loved to work and hang around with such a wonderfull musicians and human beings as Trevor, Hilmar and Jozef (who's playing now with Magic Malik... I saw there concert yesterday in the Botanique in Brussels and they are killing!!!) A new cd of the VVG trio featuring Jozef and Malik will be released in april this year on the worldfamous "RATrecords" combined with a jazzlabtour... check out www.jazzlabseries.be for more details. FES is releasing a new album "psychoscout" somewhere in May. I'm particulary happy with this one... I think we never sounded so good. You did it again Peter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alexi Tuomarila and Jef Neve are going to record in april their new albums... will be fun!!! Interesting stuff: the new Thyft Album (Hilmar Jensson , Jim Black and Andrew d'Angelo) is being mixed and mastered nowadays... when it comes out, buy it!!! I think there's a very nice duo of Trevor and Shelly on Harp. Check out www.trevordunn.net. Fantomâs' Delirium Cordia is still one of my all time favourate albums.
